Open GI Golf Day 2026

Everything you need for the day

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the annual Open GI Golf Day at Brocket Hall on Tuesday 22 September 2026. Set within one of Hertfordshire’s most impressive country estates, the day promises great golf, good food and plenty of opportunities to catch up with familiar faces.

On the day

Arrival & breakfast

From 08:00

Join us in the Oak Room for breakfast and registration before the day gets underway.

Welcome & marshal briefing

09:15

Gather in the Oak Room for the welcome and marshal briefing, followed by an optional warm-up at the Golf Academy driving range.

Shotgun start

10:00

Golfers will tee off on the Melbourne Course in a four-ball shotgun start, playing 18 holes. Complimentary refreshments will be available from the Halfway House throughout the day.

Post-golf refreshments

From 15:00

After completing the course, relax and enjoy a well-earned drink on the Clubhouse Terrace.

BBQ

15:30

A freshly prepared BBQ will be served on the Oak Room Terrace.

Prize giving

16:00

Join us for the prize-giving ceremony as we celebrate the day’s achievements and bring the event to a close.

A memorable setting at Brocket Hall

This year’s Open GI Golf Day will take place at Brocket Hall, one of England’s most renowned country house estates, set within acres of beautiful Hertfordshire parkland.

Golfers will take on the Melbourne Course, an impressive 18-hole championship course shaped around the estate’s natural landscape. The course crosses the River Lea on four occasions, creating a varied and memorable round for golfers of all abilities.

Dress for the day

To help everyone enjoy the day, please observe Brocket Hall’s dress code.

On the course

  • Smart golfing attire is required
  • Shirts must have a collar and sleeves and should be tucked in
  • Tailored shorts may be worn with ankle-length socks
  • Golf shoes must be worn

In the Clubhouse & Restaurant

  • Smart-casual clothing is required
  • Gentlemen should wear a collared shirt
  • Golfing attire may be worn for the afternoon BBQ on the Clubhouse Terrace

A few things to remember

Jeans and trainers are not permitted, and gentlemen should wear collared shirts at all times. You’re welcome to remain in your golfing attire for the afternoon BBQ on the Clubhouse Terrace.
