Launched by Trak Global Group in 2012, Carrot is an award-winning provider of usage-based insurance. In 2012 Carrot launched into the emerging telematics insurance market, setting out to change the way that young drivers buy their insurance and, just as importantly, change the way that they interact and engage with their motor insurance provider.

Carrot uses Open GI’s Version 6 for a range of business processes including all aspects of policy processing in the call centre and online. Data enrichment is provided from a number of third-party suppliers, integrated seamlessly into the core system. Carrot’s software also benefits from Screenbuilder 5, which allows the user to create bespoke data capture in the call centre and online.

In November 2013, Carrot won the Customer Experience Award at the Insurance Technology Awards 2013.
