Open GI Product Clinics Awarded CII Accreditation for Second Year

Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII)

Open GI’s free of charge broker training sessions have been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) for a second year.

The aptly named Product Clinics have been running across the UK and Ireland for the past three years with content being delivered to over 1,250 brokers in more than 80 locations.

Product Clinics are designed to enable brokers to get the most out of their Open GI trading system. Delegates can choose from a variety of breakout sessions and network with like minded brokers wanting to gain extra technical and industry knowledge. Expert trainers are on hand to demonstrate the advantages of the software in a live environment.

The CII provides CPD event accreditation for a variety of seminars and conferences. Accreditation was awarded to Open GI for their contribution to developing insurance knowledge and competence. Brokers who attend the clinics are able to gain 15 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits, in addition to free system training.

Scot Grimmer, Broker Academy Manager, CII, said: “Open GI has demonstrated their professionalism by adding value for brokers across the UK and Ireland attending their events, which mirrors the current CII training. Event accreditation is all about making CPD accessible for all brokers and bringing knowledge and competence into the regions. We continue to accredit a growing number of events and seminars across the country.”

Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “It’s great that the events have been recognised by the CII for the second year running. As a business it is important that we continue to work with key industry bodies and maintain our commitment to the broker market.

“Product Clinics bring the knowledge and expertise of Open GI consultants to the broker’s door step. We are pleased with the uptake of the CPD points and that we are able to add value for those attending. First hand system training is provided free of charge and the feedback we’ve received from brokers demonstrates that the knowledge gained is invaluable.”

The Product Clinic schedule for 2009 is secured with new content being delivered at various Marriott Hotels across the UK. To find out more about Open GI Product Clinics please go to www.opengi.co.uk/events
