Thousands of Broking Staff Opt for Open Productivity Solutions

Open GI has seen the total number of users of its office productivity solutions pass the 20,000 mark since its launch in 2006, averaging at over 7,000 new users a year.

The company attributes the growth in uptake to brokers wanting to improve efficiency in today’s economic climate. The suite of products covers a whole range of broking processes from creating professional documents and commercial registers to effective file management – an overriding theme being easy integration with the Open GI core-back office.

One broker that has experienced the benefits of the products is award winning Fresh! Insurance, based in the Midlands. Mark Powis, Operations Director, Fresh! said: “Around 50 of our staff use the office productivity suite from Open GI. Open Word has allowed us to create what we think are some of the most professional client documents in the industry. You can import any images and logos, along with keywords from the backoffice so letters are all prepopulated. This is a real advantage as some of the other software houses practically require you to write code!

“By using the Open Attach file management tool we can attach all scanned documents to client records which is great from an FSA point of view. In addition, new staff find it easy to get to grips with the drag and drop functionality of the Open-i interface. Without these products and the efficiencies they have achieved, we would not have the time to explore the launch of new business lines.”
