Open GI e-commerce Solutions Attract Netpig Start-up

Open GI’s e-commerce solutions are set to power the new online broking start-up Netpig Insurance, formed by Ex Capita Director, Ian Meyer.

The Essex-based company, which announced their plans to the market at the end of May, have opted for Open GI’s fully integrated quote and buy solution, eBroker. The technology will enable customers to purchase online cover from Netpig for a range of personal lines products. The site is being built and hosted by Open GI’s e-commerce team.

Netpig have also opted for the Open GI eAggregator solution in order to link their site to market leading comparison sites. The decision was made following a review of leading software house e-commerce propositions.

Netpig Managing Director, Ian Meyer, is excited about the launch. He said: “I am confident that Netpig will be a great success. We are looking to combine all the solid principles of personal lines broking with innovative online technology from Open GI. Their e-commerce portfolio is the most up to date in the market today and includes features such as dynamic online pricing which will enable us to increase our web presence.

“With plans to generate 50% of our business via aggregators, it makes sense to partner with Open GI. They work with 15 leading comparison sites and have a great reputation in this space.”

Simon Hughes, Sales & Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “e-commerce remains a huge focus for Open GI. Brokers are opting for our e-commerce solutions for a whole host of reasons including our ability to handle complex online requirements and large quote volumes. We are pleased to be partnering with Netpig and are confident we can support them in delivering success.”
