Markerstudy is the latest broker to switch their IT systems to Open GI, in a five year deal that will support 130 users and aggressive acquisition plans.
The move sees the Open GI system replace CDL and Insurecom’s AgencyPlus, whilst strengthening Markerstudy’s position in the private car insurance and Motor Trade markets.
Markerstudy is a significant business win for Open GI, particularly as they plan to at least double the size of the business in 2010, both organically and through acquisition.
The rapidly expanding call centre operation selected Open GI on the basis of system functionality and market presence, following a review of major software houses. It is one of a number of new business contracts received by Open GI in recent months.
The deal includes Open GI’s market-leading quote engines, core back-office system and solutions to cater for schemes, e-commerce, business intelligence and office productivity. Key product lines for growth in 2010 will be commercial vehicle and household.
Gary Collins, Head of Markerstudy Retail Group, said: “The Open GI system will effectively future proof our business as we expand our product portfolio and acquire new businesses. We have some aggressive growth targets over the next few years and need a solid, functionally rich system to support this.
“During the software house review process, our technical staff rated the usability and functionality of the Open GI system extremely highly. Add to this the commercial strength of the contract and Open GI clearly offered the best value – a view echoed by many of my colleagues in the broker market. Our new partnership gives me total confidence in the future.”
Chris Guillaume, Managing Director, Open GI, said: “We are delighted that Markerstudy has selected Open GI as a long term partner to support their growth plans. Changing IT providers should not be taken lightly. It’s a long term investment, with significant business impacts. However, it was clear from the outset that Markerstudy could gain substantial value from implementing a new technology solution. They are an ambitious business which understands the importance of technology in delivering a seamless, service-led approach to clients.
“We have invested heavily in our proposition over the last three years and it is especially pleasing to see that our company’s strategies for growth are in line with the views held by the progressive broking firms in the industry.”
