Brokers trading home insurance online using Open GI’s e-commerce solutions can now link to moneysupermarket.com via the eAggregator for home platform.
eAggregator helps brokers achieve product listings with major comparison sites by providing a seamless connection to their Open GI quote engines. This increases sales opportunities without the high costs associated with online marketing.
moneysupermarket.com is the first comparison site to go live on the eAggregator for home insurance platform, with many more in the process of signing up. The company is already trading a significant amount of motor insurance business with Open GI brokers and the trend is set to continue. eAggregator was launched in 2007 and now provides access to 14 comparison sites covering motor, home, commercial vehicle and bike risks.
Graham Donoghue, MD of moneysupermarket.com’s insurance business commented: “Software houses are important to our business as they provide access to a large panel of brokers and with an estimated 40% of the UK broker market, Open GI is one of the key players. We already have a good number of Open GI brokers listed on moneysupermarket.com for motor insurance and we are expecting the same picture to emerge for home insurance.”
