Open GI Expands New Business Team

Antony Davies

Leading systems provider, Open GI, has expanded its New Business Team with the appointment of Antony Davies as New Business Sales Consultant.

The expansion of the team is in response to the growing number of new client opportunities.

Antony (pictured above) joins Open GI from Consilium, a leading supplier of IT solutions to Local Government and Social Housing bodies throughout the UK, where he was Business Development Manager.

During his time at Consilium, Antony managed key accounts such as Bristol City Council. Prior to this, and after graduating from University, he gained over five years experience working in financial software sales.

In his new role, Antony is responsible for securing new Open GI system contracts and for ensuring brokers are aware of the extensive range of products and services on offer.

Commenting on the appointment, Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “The development of this new role is a direct response to the growing number of enquiries we received in the latter part of 2008 and in to 2009. Given current economic conditions all UK businesses are subjecting their expenditure to enhanced scrutiny and a growing number of brokers have approached us to see where we can help. Inevitably we can, whether through providing new technology to their business to strip out manual cost or to exploit new revenues or by replacing their incumbent system with a more functional, resilient and costeffective alternative.”
