What is the Open-i Graphical User Interface?
Open-i is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) which sits on top of the Open GI Core System.
Open-i adds an intuitive look and feel to the system, enhancing usability whilst retaining all the existing tools available to the Core user.
Open-i delivers all of the benefits of a ‘point and click’ style system, dramatically reducing the number of key strokes. This means the system can be picked up by anyone, with or without Core Back-Office experience, helping new staff get to grips with the system with ease.
Given that Open-i is a user interface rather than a completely new system, the benefits can be realised with minimum business disruption as implementation time is negligible.
How it all works
Open-i sits on top of the existing Open GI system, transforming the Core Back-Office into a modern, Windows styled interface. Open-i provides you with the feel and functionality of a completely new system at the fraction of the cost.
It uses the latest Java® and Microsoft.NET® technologies with no bespoke software needed on the user’s desktop.
What can it do for me?
With Open-i it has never been easier to master the Open GI system. The point and click functionality and drop down menus allow users to easily navigate between screens, drastically reducing administration time and increasing productivity.
All of the existing shortcuts are maintained so experienced users won’t need to be
re-trained and the new familiar functionality ensures new staff will pick up the system with ease.
The system’s appearance can be customised in your corporate colours and clearly displays your logo ensuring consistent branding across the company.
